Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

I currently have Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.1.5337. I want to upgrade to version 12.1.6, so I can add protection for my Windows 10 users.

I am attempting to follow the instructions on this article: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH230601.html

When I go to https://symantec.flexnetoperations.com and enter my serial number the only version that is available for me to download is version 12.1.5.

How do I get version 12.1.6??

You don't. 12.1.5 is the last version for SBE as it is end of support life. You need to move to the sep.cloud version.

Symantec still offers Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition which leave the choice between cloud and on-premise as stated on the website http://www.symantec.com/endpoint-protection-small-business-edition/ "Available as a cloud-managed service or as an on-premise solution with dedicated on-site server".

Will there be a on-premise update that supports Windows 10 or do we have to move our customers to a different solution if they want to remain on-premise ?

The Endpoint Protection portion of SEP.cloud was recently updated (end of July 2015) to support Windows 10.  You would be looking at NIS-22.5.2.15.

My understanding is that all downloads have this new component included.

Please test on a stand-alone computer to determine whether this update meets your corporate needs before deploying to the site.

I am in same boat , bought 3 years protection downloaded SEP 12.1.5 and cant download 12.1.6 to support windows 10.  Is there any way to keep on premise server rather than cloud as a few of my sites are rural and have limited internet access?

There isn't an SBE 12.1.6. You need to move to endpoint cloud hosted or on-prem

No. Different license and cost. You need to get in touch with licensing to work that out.

That's because you need a different license/serial for this product. You need to contact licensing to get this handled. I believe the cost is also different.

My company moves from windows 7 to windows 10. We have currently endpoint protection 12.1.6 MP3. 
We want to move to 12.1.6 MP5. What are the benefits and purpose of doing that?

You're welcome.

All versions prior to 12.1.6 MP5 contained a critical vulnerability which allows the endoint to be compromised. You're best to get to the latest version to close off this vulnerability.
