Endpoint Protection

In SEP 12.1, is there a way to check the download protection definitions on the client? I know I can see them in SEPM but don't see anything on the client.

do you mean the virus definition?

if yes, you can open the client GUI and click on logs --> client management ---> view logs ---> click on "System logs"

there will be entries which shows the definition are updated

Under Status it will display the definition dates of antivirus components you have installed.

If we open the system logs we can see the version of the definition downloaded.

This is for the download protection definitions, which is related to Insight I assume. Not AV defs. I can see those right on the GUI.

I get alerts telling me download protection definitions are out of date. I want to know if I can see this on the client itself.

can you please post the screenshot? Since download has the file reputation i was wondering if the error message is the same.

What version of SEP 12.1 are you running?

Does the SEPM states "Security Status - Attention Needed" and when you click on View details, the Security Status Details page shows Download Protection Content failures?

An update for Symantec Whitelist from LiveUpdate was successfully installed.  The new sequence number is 120530002.

this can browsed to the path

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\12.1.XXXXX.XXX.XXX\Data\Definitions\IronWhitelistDefs

hope you checked on client, the definition in the path thats been mentioned?
