Download Redistributables

I'm getting an error "An error occued while downloading information files necessary to continue the process" when attempting to download redistributable files. The bigger issue is that I need Wise Installation Studio 7.0 to include the .Net 2.0 runtime. I recently installed Wise on a new computer, but I'm getting the same error on the old computer too. I've turned off firewalls, Internet access is working.

How do I get this working and/or get Wise to include the .Net CLR in the install?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Work around

Managed to get Wise to find the .Net distribution files by manually copying the ..\stub\DOTNET2.0.50727.42 folder from my old machine over to the new machine.

Look in the Altiris KB

Downloading redistributables was broken in WIS7, thus a KB article giving direct access to the downloads was provided. If you search the kb at http:/kb.altiris.com I'm sure you will get the solution to your question.

Account

Hi

Does anybody know what account Wises uses to connect to it's site for these downloads? How exactly does it connect so that it can be enabled with our Proxy.

You will have to ask Wise

I assume you are trying to get around the problem in WIS 7 ?  Information on how the product connects has not been made available, hence it is easier to just download the runtimes from the links in the KB article. It's not worth paying for a support call to find this out, unless you already have a support agreement in place.
