    Hello,

    We are using SEPM 12.1.6,we are configured in the sepm to get the update through proxy server.Which account sepm server will use to download the definition? is it service account?

    You have an option to give it a username/password. Did you do that?

    Otherwise, it would just use similar to the SYSTEM account if no auth is needed to proxy out.

    Login to SEPM

    Go to Admin Tab

    Select Severs from the bottom

    Now highlight the server and and select "Edit Server Properties"

    Enable the Check box "Authentication needed to connect through the proxy server"

    and input the user name and password, if nothing is sent SEPM will try to use the proxy as anonymous user or will attempts to use the windows default "SYSTEM"

     

    Note: when the enable the proxy here the home tab will display all the information like "threat Con level" and latest on manager version as well.

    A Liveupdate task triggered by SEPM runs with the "SYSTEM" context as shown in the below. The proxy configuration and the user name and password provided in the server properties of the SEPM are only used for authenticating the proxy server.
