Delta content on my GUP is too new to many clients on my network to recieve Delta updates. I do not want to push a full update from the server as this causes too much network overhead. I think the easiest solution would be to download Delta content to the GUP which dates back far enough so the clients can get caught up without a full update. Is there a place I can download Delta content from Symantec to place onto the GUP?

having more content revision on SEPM will have delta created from SEPM to GUP based on client request to GUP.

Delta content is calculated by the SEPM based on the difference between what the SEPM has and what the client has. To ensure delta calculation can be done, you will want to have a higher number of revisions stored on the SEPM to increase the odds a delta is be created. Otherwise the SEPM (whether there's a GUP involved or not) will just send the full.zip.

Edited to add:clients will have to get at least one full definition set after the initial installation. Deltas are based on having that full set as a base. It is possible to put current definitions into the installer package, but this would have to be updated probably every time you deploy.

How to deploy the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client Release Update 5 or later with current virus definitions and intrusion prevention signatures.
