This issue has been solved. See solution.

Is there anywhere that you can manually download updates for Mail Security for Exchange? By this i mean where you could choose which version you were updating to. I know currently it is 6.0.9.286 but what if I were interested in getting the version one or two before that?

Thanks

More details please-?

Hi Need,

Do you mean AV definitions?  Or a copy of the product itself?  I'm not quite sure that I follow you.....

If you wish to download the available content for past releases of SMSMSE, then the LiveUpdate Administrator 2.x tool is probably what you are looking for.  That will enable you to select which versions and what content, even for releases that are no longer supported.

Check out the following article to get an idea of what is possible.  There are a couple of screenshots of the LUA 2.x interface.

Configuring Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange 5.x and 6.x to Retrieve Updates from an Internal LiveUpdate Server

Hope this helps!

Mick

With thanks and best regards,

Mick

Sorry about that

I meant the product updates itself. Thanks for the help!

Product downloads

The quickest way to get your current licensed product version is to visit https://fileconnect.symantec.com and enter you most recent serial number.

If you do not have this number, you can see it in your most recent license file if you open it in Notepad.
