    Hi Muhammada,

Thanks for the question.  Yes, Download Insight requires Internet access.  It needs to communicate with Reputation servers in the Cloud.

Here is a short video which illustrates how Insight works:  Symantec Endpoint Protection 12: Insight

Please do keep this thread up-to-date with your progress!

    With thanks and best regards,

    Mick

    Hi

So it means that if any SEP client does not have internet access or internet is block on that SEP client

We will get this error message.

How we can avoid this error message, if we do not have internet access on SEP client but client is getting signature updatge from SEPM server which is up to date

    Thanks

You would not get this error message if clients had no internet access. Something else is going on here and it may be bad or corrupt definitions.

Please try running a repair on the client.

if your machine doesn't have direct internet conenction, please turn of the download inshgt from the AV policy and also please be sure to make sure the locks are closed so that user's don't make changes to the client.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Symantec community.

Internet connection is not mandatory to get rid of this message. I think SEP definitions are corrupted.

Firs try to repair the SEP client via add/remove programs.

If not helped then with the help of following article try to determine if definitions are corrupted or not.

Article: How to determine if virus definitions of Symantec Endpoint Protection client (SEP) 11 or 12 Small Business Edition, are corrupted

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH97677

If definitions are corrupted can clear them manually, following article can help you on this.

How to clear out definitions for a Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 client manually

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO59193

As a last attempt can install intellgent updater patch as well.

Just a ping to see if you were able to resolve this?  The thread is still marked "needs solution."

    With thanks and best regards,
