Can anybody tell me if there is a document on Altiris' KB somewhere that is actually an administration guide? The boss is asking me for one so we can troubleshoot some WOL problems we are having with our DS. I have been searching the KB all morning and have not found anything. We also need a complete installation guide that I'm not having much luck with. I think I am getting closer with the installation guide, but I am not finding any kind of administration guide. Does anybody have any links?

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, I have already located that website. I have downloaded the reference guide, but it's not the administration guide I'm looking for.

There really is no "administration guide"for DS just the reference guide that Jim already pointed you to.
Have you tried searching the forums for WOL?

Yes, I've done that multiple times. I've also got an open case with tech support about it. We were just trying to speed up the process a little bit by doing some research ourselves. We think we most likely have some things not setup properly, but we were wanting an administrative guide to look over.

I think there is a big difference between the administration, and troubleshooting. The reference guide is pretty well detailed in every aspect you would need to install and run Deployment Server. As for troubleshooting WOL, it's been covered it lots of posts, and more often then not it's a combo of environment variables, and WIWOLWW (wonder if wake on lan will work). Can you describe what particular issues you are having? One method I have used (which didn't really solve but helped troubleshoot) was using Wireshark to trace the process. https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=40475&p=1

That's the process we are working through with tech support right now. I just forwarded on our traces from the DS to the WOL proxy and from the WOL proxy to the client. The problem is, tech support has a tendency to be a little slow. That's why we were wanting an admin guide. If they don't have one, I guess there's nothing we can do about that. I'll just have to keep searching the KB and see if I find anything I guess.
