  • 1.  DS 6.9 Bug report: Version on XP, versus Produc ID on Windows 7

If you create "filter" or "condition" into DS 6.9: Be aware a strange behaviour...

On Windows XP: Application version are stored on "Version" field (seems to be normal :)

But, under Windows 7, x86 or x64, using Aclient or Dagent 6.9.453 (32 or 64)

I find all same Application version under the Product ID:

I do not find any KB, known problem, article, etc... Am I single with this problem, I will check on other DS 6.9 customer sites later.

Please, if you find the TECH number, or any other related, or reproduce same, please be kind to add your comment below with it ;-)

So well, one of our customers has the same problem. But he uses XP (sp2 and 3). We upgraded to DS SP5 lately but nothing changed. Are there any new information on this problem?

    Hi all,

We've come across this quite some time ago and have been informed this is by design.

What we do is extend our conditions and filters by an OR Product ID contains/equals whatever we look for and that works quite well in a mixed environment of Windows OS'es.

By design? Seriously? Why would anyone design it that way? Unless of course they are trying to move everyone over to the web console. Nope. Not gonna happen. Web console sux.
