DS 6.9 & Virtual Center

I was about to migrate my DS6.5SP2 (248) to my brandy new DS6.8.SP2 system when DS6.9 came out.

Got a brand new DS box on 6.9.124 because of the need for integration for Virtual Center.

Except that its still not connected. I tried setting up a connection with and without using a port number, w/ & w/o fqdn of VI server, tried direct connects to ESX host systems with root account...all resulting in errors and no connections. I thought support for VI 2.0 was getting fixed according to the release notes???

Errors:

"Unsupported namespace in content of SOAP body" when using connection to ESX w/ root + password. Tried with following ports: none, 80, 443, 8443.

"Nothing" when using IP address of VI server and domain account with access to VI using ports: none, 80, 443, 8443

"the operation has timed out" when using fqdn of VI server, altiris ds domain account and port 443 (tried the rest with same results).

"the operation has timed out" when using with Port 8080 and root account to fqdn of VI server.

Any suggestions are welcome.

This is a very old post but I was wondering if anyone has been able to figure this out. We are trying to connect to our Virtual Center and we are not having any luck.

In version 6.9, mine works fine connecting from DS 6.9 to ESX Vi2.5. I'm using port 443.

When I use port 443 I get 'Unsupported namespace in content of SOAP body' error. When I use any other port I get nothing.

You are using the complete VI solution, right? Can you open a browser to your virtual center? If that doesn't respond that would explain why it doesn't know how to handle the request from Altiris. Also, make sure there isn't any funky going on with firewall settings both on the Altiris box and the vmware box.

Hello mrachul. I get the same error ''Unsupported namespace in content of SOAP body'.

Did you solve this problem?
