DS 7.1 Deploy Task - Individual Partition

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I notice http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO74592 states that its not possible to deploy individual partitions with the Deploy Image task in DS 7.1.  Is this still the case in the latest version of DS (7.1 SP2 MP1 v4) ?

If so does anyone have a work-around?  I'm deploying Windows 7 and want to preserve an existing D: drive.  When I un-tick the second paritition in my image (under Advanced in the Deploy Image task) and try to save I am prompted to "Provide valid destination partition for single partition deployment."  I can't see any option to do this.

Hello,

How many partitions your image has?

e.g if you image has 2 partitons C, D

1. Create a task to deploy 1st partition, C.  set DST= 1:1 .

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Sachin

Hi Sachin,

Sorry for slow reply - yes thats perfect thanks - all working. I had a C: and D: drive and wanted to keep the D: drive so adding "1:1" to the DST field does exactly what I wanted.
