Does this mean that managed client under a particular Site Server (DS SS=TS+PS) was showing correct entry in Production for Task Server? But after booting into Preboot environment (PXE/Automation ?) the same client is downloading the files (what type?) from NS and not SS?

Also "As a result its taking ages to get machines to boot into altiris"; booting a client in Preboot/Production should not be affected by any mean. Is taking ages it related to image SMAgent installation/deployment of an image or something?
