  • 1.  DS 7.6 HF7 - Error: Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause

    Posted Feb 15, 2016 02:55 PM

I created a windows 7 Pro Image successfully with simple job given below (I am using ITMS 7.6 HF7)

    1. Prepare for Image Capture
    2. Capture Image.

Now I am trying to deploy Image with this Simple Job

    1. Deploy Image.

Image deploy task completes successfully and when computer restarts in production I get this error. Screenshot is geven below for review.

Anyone can suggest what the problem is

Not sure if it will make a difference but our initial deploy jobs look like the following:

    Deploy Image

    Run Boot to Production

    Run Apply Systems Configuration

May try modifying your job accordingly and try your image again.

Are you using an automation folder?

    Maybe this might help:

What kind of machine is this? Does it have UEFI or a standard BIOS? Possible that you need to set legacy BIOS mode in the BIOS settings. Are you getting a brief BSOD (blue screen of death) at any point during boot?

Just a guess at this point...
