Deployment Solution

Situation: We already have a running Deployment server (6.9.164). Also, we have a basic Notification Server running on the same server, which came with Dell Client Management. The goal is to deploy deployment server agents based on a NS collection. On an old notification server, I can see a standard DS agent installation job, but what do I need to get this job presented in the notification server console? It is under the Deploy & Migrate folder, but this folder isn't present on the new server? The DS and the NS databases are located on the same SQL server, but not on the Altiris server. The Altiris server has NS and DS agents running. What am I missing here - any help is appreciated!

All you need to do is install the Deployment Solution in the notification server. If you are looking at the 6.5 console, click configure then solution center. Then click a to z solutions(button on the right) and choose Altiris Deployment Solution. It should automatically pick up on having a deployment server, or you may need to point it to it, but once it is installed you should have the option to install the DS client via the NS.

Excellent. We had some problems with the MSI package being too big when installing it, but a hotfix fixed the issue. Thanks!
