I have created a job that deploys one of my images via PXE (using WinPE). When the image is done, and it picks up the AClient the computer reboots (to complete the job I assume). Is there some way that I can stop this reboot?

I'm a little confused. When you say after it picks up the AClient then reboots, are you talking in WinPE or after the computer boots up into the Production enviroment of the image that has been deployed. If you are talking about after the computer boots to the production image, you may want to try unchecking the boxes under Configuration in the Distribute Disk Image within the Console. If you are talking about in WinPE, you could add a task under the job to run a script to wait. I cannot remember a script for that off the top of my head, but I will look back through my notes if that is what you need.

Sorry, I should have included more details. I am dropping down a production image. I have some programs that I silently install. One of them is the AClient. Once the AClient is installed, and reports back to DS the computer reboots. I need the AClient installed on the machine, but I would rather not have the machine reboot. -trb

In order to understand your environment, can you please provide the version of Deployment Server, the preboot environment used whether WinPE 1 or 2 or even Linux preboot, whether you are using PXE or Boot CDs, what OS are you deploying with the image, are you using Ghost, RDeploy, or WIMs for your imaging engine, etc... This will help to understand what you are using and narrow down where you are getting the reboot. Thanks. Nate Hudson Senior Systems Engineer West Bend Mutual Insurance
