DS6.9 SP1 on Server 2008 64bit

Has anyone had any problems running Seployment Server 6.9 SP1 on a Windows Server 2008 X64 system?
I upgrade my system a few weeks ago and have had daily problems with the Altiris Server Service just not functioning. I am not able to stop and restart the service. All services show that they are started but no jobs will execute. The server has to be restarted once to twice a day. We are running SQL Server 2008 locally installed on the Deployment Server. The database seems to be functioning fine when jobs stop deploying.
Any ideas?
I have been running DS 6.9 SP1 on Server 2008 x64 in a Sandbox environment for almost a month now. I haven't experienced any of the issues you that you are. I am running SQL 2005, though.
I am in the process of bringing 6.9 SP1 over to our production environment onto Server 2008 x64. I will let you know if I start to experience any of the issues you have mentioned.
I'm running DS 6.9 SP1 on Server 2008 x64 and SQL 2008 x64. Haven't seen any of the problems you're seeing.
Have you tried re-installing over the top of the existing install?
I have reinstalled over the top and still have the same issues.
I've only been using this server actively for about 2 weeks now. Did the problems start immediately? How many clients do you have on the server? Is there anything else running on the server?
The problems started immediately. We currently have 3074 clients.
Do you have any idea if Deployment Server talks to the database through name pipes or through the IP Address? And can we change this setting.
