Created: 16 Apr 2013 • Updated: 18 Apr 2013 | 4 comments

Hello. Has anyone managed to do this successfully?

I have tried many times extracting the files then using deploy anywhere to browse to the parent directory then adding the contense. When I have then gone to deploy a machine the added drivers were not successfully deployed.

Please assist.

Thanks.

You need to browse to the directory where the sys and cat files are think in this case it's teh "Graphics" directory

There are many drivers and options that come with drivers that DA can't work with.  DA only works with the drivers, not the apps that install drivers, or utilities, or whatever.  Thus the comment about looknig for only the SYS files.  If you look in the DriversDB folder, you'll get a sense of what kinds of contents we're looking for.  Look at 3 or 4 of those folders, then find a similar folder in what you extracted, and add that to DA.  We will NOT work with CAB, EXE, ZIP, or other file types.  These have their own intelligence for installing apps.

Think of it this way.  If you were in device manager and had to browse to find a driver, it wouldn't accept an EXE.  Neither will we.  What it will except is a folder with the INF and SYS files in it.  So will we.
