DS71.SP1AMR1 doesnt run on IE 9

This issue has been solved. See solution.
I upgraded an administrative laptop to Windows IE9 and then tried to access the DS console and got a message that it only works with Windows IE 7 & 8. Fortunately this was a test machine and not the host server.

It is known that IE9 is not
It is known that IE9 is not supported in 7.1 solutions and will not be supported until 7.2 is released:

Check with Compatibility View
Compatibility mode should work for IE9.
I would suggest to use IE 7
I would suggest to use IE 7 or 8 as of now..
