I am having an issue after the last virus definition update that Enpoint is now calling out DSUpdate.exe as a Trojan.gen.  I scanned it with a couple of online scanners and none of them called it out as being unsafe.  It is the Dell Data Safe update application, and now no matter what I do I can't update the program, or put the exe file on the ignore list.  Every time I put it on the ignore list, it still puts it in the quarantine folder.  Any suggestions?  I have also submitted the file to Symantec.

Did you submit as a false positive?

And when you say ignore list you mean you put the .exe in the centralized exceptions list?

If you are sure about the authenticity of this file then you can go ahead and add it to the Centralized exceptions. If you have received any number from Symantec regarding the White list let me know, I will look in to it.

Yes I put it on the centralized exceptions list, and it still doesn't matter, it will continue to quarantine it.  At this point I will wait for the result of the false positive just to make sure.  Thank you for the responses.
