Dual backups

We support remote sites that have their own onsite technicians and I have had a query posted to me asking can Symantec Backup Exec 2010 run two concurrent backup sessions, each backing up its own data set to two separate tape drives.

Query is this : - If a DC is fitted with two tape backup drives, is it possible to schedule each drive to perform a backup during the night, with each tape drive configured to back up a specific data set of the total data. Each tape drive to run concurrently.

Yes.  This can be done.  The data to be backed up must be different.  However, if your media server does not have the horsepower, running two concurrent jobs may be slower than running them consecutively.
