    Hi All,

I want to understand the experience/process on installing encryption desktop to a dual boot machine.

How and what is the expected result given that I have one HDD and install OS Windows 7 and Windows XP

Should I install the Encryption Desktop to both OS Windows 7 / Windows XP?

Which one will start the drive Encryption?

lets say encryption is done. After restart which one will I see. Encryption Bootguard or Boot option?

    appreciate your reply

    Hi Rinoa21,

I would need to double check, but I'm not sure if dual boot is currently supported.
Anyway, the client version must be the same in both operating systems and the latest release of Symantec Encryption Desktop is the last one with support for Windows XP. This can lead to issues when upgrading later.
Do you really want to have this dual boot configuration?

    Hi Dcats,

yes, we need to understand how encryption works with dual boot OS because we are deploying drive encryption to BYOD machines and some users have this kind of configuration.
