  • 1.  Duplicate Emails in Outlook Sent Items with PGP enable.

    I have a user who, with PGP Desktop services enable, has duplicate sent emails in his SENT ITEMS fodler in Outlook. It does not matter if the emails are encrypted or not, every sent email is duplicated. The recipients are not actually recieving duplicate emails. When PGP services are off, this issue does not occur. 

    They are using Outlook 2010 with Exchange and PGP version 10.1.0.

    There are multiple users having the same setup that do not have this problem. 

     

    Can someone show me how to disable this?

    That is an old version of PGP to be using with Outlook 2010.  10.1.0 is compatible with the following:

    PGP Desktop for Windows has been tested with the following email clients:
    ¡ Microsoft Outlook 2007 SP2(Outlook 12)
    ¡ Microsoft Outlook 2003 SP3
    ¡ Microsoft Outlook XP SP3
    ¡ Microsoft Windows Mail 6.0.600.16386
    ¡ Microsoft Outlook Express 6 SP1
    ¡ Microsoft Windows Live Mail version 2009
    ¡ Mozilla Thunderbird 3.0
    ¡ Lotus Notes 7.04, 8.02, 8.5.1
    ¡ Novell GroupWise 6.5.3
     
    I would suggest upgrading as a test to see if this fixes the issue, the latest version is 10.3.0 MP1

    I appologize, the user is actually using PGP 10.2 x64. Is this supported in Outlook 2010?

    10.2 is supported for Outlook 2010.

    What version of Exchange is being used?  

    How many users is this affecting?

    Is there a Universal Server in this environment?

    Exchange server 2007 and so far its only affecting a single user. Yes there is a Universal Server in the enviroment. 

     

    When sending an email in Outlook with PGP service enable on my own system, I notice two emails are in checking the  'Outbox'. It happens so fast I'm unable to capture a screen shot. However when checking the 'Sent Items' folder in Outlook, there is only one copy of the email. This is the expected behavior. 

    Can't find why Outlook saves duplicate copies in the 'Sent Items' for the user.
