Duplicate Search Results Were Found

Greetings

My team has just purchased Symantec Entdpoint Protection Manager.  In short order I had it up and running with a few test machines added via the Client Deployment Wizard, but had to set it aside for a few day due to another project.

When I got back to the project today, The first thing I did was try to deploy some additional test systems.  Everything was going fine, until I attempted to add systems on one particular network segment.  Any system I attempted to add I get:

Duplicate Search Results Were Found.  They were not added to the results list.

At first I thought that I had already added these systems, but that doesn't appear to be the case.  I checked my firewall settings, but can't find anything different between the network segment that works and the one that doesn't.  And I verified that I can telnet from the machines on that segment back to SEPM on port 8014.  I tried adding by fully qualified domain, IP, Netbios name etc.  I also verifed that the DNS and other settings are correct.  Nothing seems to work.

It's got to be something simple, but what?  What am I missing?  I've searched around for this error message, but couldn't find anything that seemed to apply

Any help would be greatly appreciated

LDAP Server ??

Hi

Are you trying to add clients using LDAP directory server  , if  so  please follow below steps

and let us know if this works

To import users from an LDAP directory server search results list

In the console, click Clients.

In the Group List tree, select the group to which you want to add users from the LDAP server.

Click Add All if you want to add all users or select specific users from the list, and then click Add.

Click the field name to sort by using that column.

You can sort the search results by field in ascending or descending order.

Select one or more users from the LDAP User List area.

You can use standard windows selection keys such as the Ctrl key to select non-contiguous users.

Click Add so that the names of new users appear in the group tree.

Repeat this process for adding users to other groups, as necessary, until you have added all new users to appropriate groups.

Click Close.

duplicate search results were found..

Has anyone ever figured this issue out..

I am not using the LDAP server feature, all i'm trying to do is search for a client to add.

I've tried adding the server account by name as well as searching the ip address range that it's located in.

Everytime I get the same error message.

This happens for every single server that is located on this ip subnet.

Please help, otherwise I'll have to open a support call, which I'd rather not.

Use Notepad

Hi,

I already have a case opened for this issue and no one knows what to do in support center, they only ask for logs, etc, and weeks pass by with no results. Provisionally you can add your clients via notepad clicking in Search Network, Find computers, Import computer list from file in a .txt file the format is Ip+Tab+Servername (172.27.255.36     client.or.servername). I Know this is frustrating, but there is no other way for the moment.

I hope Support solves this issue soon. SEPM Ver. 12.1.1000.157. W2k8 R2 SP1 UAC and Firewall OFF. No external switches or Firewalls in same VLAN.

Kind Regards,
