  • 1.  Duplicate server entry in SEPM server list (12.1.3)

    Posted Oct 29, 2013 09:50 AM

    Hi,

After installation of a new site, sepm server of this new site appears twice in SEPM console. One entry in UPPER case and one in Lower case.

From the console of primary server (central site), the 2 servers are seen with Start Time and status "Not Available".

From the console of new site server, one is seen "Not available" and the second with good Start Time and good status.

This one seems to be the good entry because we can see task "Manage server certificate". This task is not present for the other.

Of course, I tried to delete it from console (no error, no deletion).

Have you got any idea ?

    Was the replication successful?

From fist site, replication status is "succeeded" but from new site it sill 'Never replicate".

Modifications done on first site are not replecated. FYI I changed replication schedule.

When I try to do a one time replcation, error message tells me to execute replication from the first server of this new site.

For SEPM, first server of new site is the entry in UPPER case but it's the other which is used.....

    Hi all

What I see in may SEPM console (server names are false for security)

    Local Site (FR)

    • fr_sepm
    • fr_sepbd

    Remote Sites

    • CH
    •     CN_SEPM
    •     cn_sepm
    •     cn-sepbd
    • NOA
    •      not shown
    • UK
    •      not shown

    CN_SEPM is seen NOT AVAILABLE

    cn_sepm is seen ONLINE

This duplicate entry came from installation issue. But I can't delete CN_SEPM because, for SEPM, it's the first server of CN site .......

The 2 servers are the same.

My issue has been solved by Symantec Support.

Restoring a database prior to creation of the new site.
