Duplication UniqueID SEP 11.0.6

Guys,

My environment is the SEP 11.0.6 and recently started having problems in the UniqueID duplication of some equipment.

At first I thought it might be because I already have installed on my pictures Client SEP, but discard this hypothesis when I began to see that equipment that doubles the UniqueID of different models and are discovered by Altiris at different dates.

What can be causing this duplicity?

How are you installing SEP ? using Images?

Yes, I am using images with the client already installed, but the machines that duplicate UniqueID are diferent models.

  1. Delete %programfiles%\Common Files\Symantec Shared\HWID\sephwid.xml
  2. Open the registry and navigate to HKLM\Software\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SMC\Sylink\Sylnk
  3. Edit the "HardwareID" value data to be blank
  4. Restart the Symantec Management Client (SMC) service in the services snap-in.

Clients should now generate unique HardwareID's and sephwid.xml's.

Is there a way to close the image with the SEP client installed?
