My management had two questions regarding e-mail. If you attach a file that's located on the encrypted hard drive to an e-mail and send it, will it be encrypted at the other end. I'm pretty sure the answer is no but I need to satisfy my boss.

The other question is what if you encrypt an e-mail inside of Outlook will that cause a problem? I'm assuming not because the e-mail really exist on the Exchange Server and not the local workstation with the encrypted hard drive.

    Thanks

Question : If you attach a file that's located on the encrypted hard drive to an e-mail and send it, will it be encrypted at the other end.

Answer : If you are using only Hard disk Encryption, then no.

You might have to use the Removal Storage for file encryption.
