e000ff19 - A communications failure has occurred with a SQL Server resource

Created: 25 Jun 2013 | 3 comments

For some time now we are using BE 2010 R3. One of the jobs is a SQL backup. Full backup runs in the weekend and weekdays diff backups.

Not always but just sometimes those diff fil with the above mentioned error. It can run for weeks fine without problem and sometimes twice a week it can fail. Connections are set to unlimmited. Followed this article:

What could be the reason that it sometimes failes?

Thanks.

Hello Marcel,

Based on the error code and considering that the issue is intermittent, you could check if the version of SQL has the latest Service Pack applied to it. This usually happens when the database server is not responding.
