  • 1.  Email being blocked - 553 Message filtered

    Email from our domain (ideasnetwork.co.uk) sent via our Office365 email service to several of our clients is being blocked, with the following error:

    server-14.tower-184.messagelabs.com gave this error:

    Remote server returned an error -> 553 Message filtered. Refer to the Troubleshooting page at;http://www.symanteccloud.com/troubleshooting for more;information. (#5.7.1)

    I have followed the steps on the troubleshooting guide and I have also forwarded an attached message to CLOUDfeedback@feedback-87.brightmail.com but we are still being blocked.

    Please can anyone advise how we get the block lifted.

    Hello Jack, 

    Detection that was flagging the mail has been removed. Mail should no longer bounce with 553 error if resent.

    We are having a similar issue.

    Email from our domain (bearvai.com) sent via our google apps email service to several of our clients is being blocked, with the following error:

    cluster6.us.messagelabs.com gave this error:

    553-Message filtered. Refer to the Troubleshooting page at 553-http://www.symanteccloud.com/troubleshooting for more

    553 information. (#5.7.1)

    Similar to Jack, I have followed the steps on the troubleshooting guide and I have also forwarded an attached message to CLOUDfeedback@feedback-87.brightmail.com but we are still being blocked.

    Please can anyone advise how we get the block lifted.

    We are having a similar issue.

    Email from our domain (www.applicate.in) sent via our google apps/CRM email service to several of our clients(for e.g RB.com) is being blocked, with the following error:

    The response from the remote server was:

    553 Message filtered. Refer to the Troubleshooting page at http://www.symanteccloud.com/troubleshooting for more information. (#5.7.1)

    Email from our domain (logoline.com.au) sent via our Office365 email service to several of our clients is being blocked, with the following error:

    server-2.tower-192.messagelabs.com gave this error:
    Remote server returned an error -> 553 Message filtered. Refer to the Troubleshooting page at;http://www.symanteccloud.com/troubleshooting for more;information. (#5.7.1) 

    Checked Global blacklists etc we are not on any.

    Please advise best way to resolve.

    Thanks Sym_Art for your help on this.  The problem still seems to be there for any emails that have a URL on them for mail being sent to or from ideasnetwork.co.uk via Symatec servers.

    Could you please send the latest sample of the mail containg the URL to the following address:
    CLOUDfeedback@feedback-87.brightmail.com

    We recently migrated technicaldiagnostic.com from Exchange 2010 to Exchange Online via Hybrid Configuration Wizard. We now are unable to send email to a few select people. We are not blacklisted/blocked. Domains are: jpsco.com, valero.com, lkcm.com

    I assume that we will encounter more blocked domains. Please advise how to fix. We've exhausted thetroubshooting options.

    Hello

    My colleagues have the same problem. We have customers that use your anti-spam service. These customers are in different companies with different domains. And approximately from the beginning of this week my colleagues receive this "553 Message filtered" messages from your service.

    I sent two emails to the CLOUDfeedback@feedback-87.brightmail.com with attached messages. Also I added a SPF record to our domain. Nothing helped.

    Our domain is sirius.pro. Could you please add our domain to your whitelist?

    The recipient's spam filter was blocking because I was running in hybrid mode and my spf record only pointed to outlook.protection and not my public IP on the on-premise Exc10 server. I added the IP to the spf record and it worked fine.

    I have followed the steps on the troubleshooting guide and I have also forwarded several attached messages to CLOUDfeedback@feedback-87.brightmail.com.

    Please advise on how we can get the block lifted.  This has happened twice in a two week period, and we have no issues with blacklisting or our SPF record.

    I sent many emails to cloudfeedback@feedback-87.brightmail.com.

    However I did not have any answers and still continue with the problem.

    I'm having serious problems with my client ;-(

    Can you help me with this?

    We are having the same issue with mail from our domain (cmginc.com) which is Google Apps:

    The error that the other server returned was:
