  • 1.  Email Error - 250 popup

    Hi,

     

    I am running in-house software to send email to our customers.

     

    Apparently, after I install Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition, I started to received an error pop up from Symantec.

     

    The pop up always mostly stated as "Email Error" with description as follow:

    - 250, or

    - host server close connection

    - unable to send email due to close connection.

     

    I have check the forum, mostly was saying that because I may have old version of Symantec Intruder Alert. Therefore, asking to install intruder alert 3.6.

    I am confused with that as I never install Symantec Intruder Alert.

     

    Anyway, I never has this issue previously (before installing SEP). How do I get around this ?

    Do you have a screenshot of the error message? Do you have Email auto-protect enabled? It's coming from this most likely. Is this a managed or unmanaged client?

    please remove the email auto protect, this will fix the issue, I have had one customer complaining something similar when I was a support technician.
