  • 1.  Email notification test worked during install, not working after

    Setting up SEP SBE, entered admin email address and left email server settings at default.  Test email delivered successfully.  After install to server and a handful of clients, I noticed "sending email failed" alerts after each client install.

    We do not use Exchange. 

    Since, I have been experimenting with different settings for server, port, etc, none of which are working.

    I have a support email into our email server provider, waiting a reply.

    I guess my question here is, why did the test email during installation work?

    Hello,

    What version of SEPM have you installed?

    Is that Version SEPM v.12.0.1 OR Is that Version SEPM v.12.1?

    Problem solved through trial and error.  Found right combination of email server, port, user, and password.  Still don't know why the test email worked with none of these settings entered, but that is behind me now.
