    Hello

    We have 500 users and I want to implement SEP 12.1.6 what Database type I will select

    embadded or SQL, and what is recommended from Symanted embadded or SQL

    As only 500 nodes being managed with no load balancing then go for Embedded database.

    An embedded one would be recommended for 500 clients, unless you have plans to expand over 1000 clients if you want to increase the estate size then an SQL database would be recommended.

    As an ex symantec employee I will suggest you to go with embedded database, as it can support upto 5000 clients with any issues, whereas you are in need to manage just about 500 clients.

    Page 42, 65, 66 & 68 should help you.

    I'd recommend keeping a copy of this PDF as it's very helpful to get you started with the system as the best practice setup.

    Do you plan to support a smaller number of clients? If so, embedded is fine.
