    Hi

Is it possible to embed a 64 bit version of WinPE in the Ghost Boot Assistant?

I dont see another way to include 64 bit drivers in the WinPe Image?

    Greetings

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

The WinPE boot system is 32 bit, so adding 64 bit drivers is pointless. Deploying a 64 bit image generated by Ghost can be done using 32 bit WinPE. The only time that you need to boot 64 bit WinPE is when you are going to run a scripted (or manual) install of a 64 bit operating system from the original media.

Or have I totally misunderstood your question?

    Hi,

There is no such an option provided to add 64-bit WinPE into Ghost Boot Wizard.

You can try creating 64-bit WinPE form WAIK and add necessary drivers.

The article below might help you.

EdT: i'm trying to use a 64 bit NIC Driver.  The Problem is, that the default WinPE (Windows Vista) in the "Ghost Boot-Assistent" is a 32 bit OS.

Govardhan: Why can i set in the Ghost Boot Assistent ("NEW Windows-Driver") Checkboxes like "X64_2008" or "X64_VISTA" when your WinPE is just a 32 bit OS?

Is there no 32 bit NIC driver for the hardware you are working with?  I've not encountered any NIC hardware so far that is only for 64 bit use.

Do you happen to know which chipset is used for the NIC?  There may be something available on the chip manufacturer's website for Vista. Aside from that, I would also try the Windows 2003 server driver as this is the nearest timeframe to Vista and also should be available as a 32 bit driver.

I have tried the windows 2003 server driver in the Symantec Wizard, but it doesn't work.
So i've create a Windows PE Server 2008 Standard SP1 with WAIK. This works fine with the driver for Windows Server 2008.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=4142916&prodNameId=4142792&swEnvOID=4022&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-61bcc3d67f7047e0b0363629db

First i create with the older version of WAIK a WinPE from Windows Server Standard 2003
The Windows Server 2003 Network Driver doesn't work in this WinPe. So i have taken the Win Srv 2008.

    Thank you for your help
