  • 1.  Embedded database or SQL Database

    Hi everyboy

    My company have 230 client computer. I am going deyloyment SEP 11.x. I am hesitant which use database ..!

    • If use embedded databse is not it allright ? is it easy clean (control) database ? is it recovery database ?
    • If use Microsft SQL then have not license. Are there free SQL databese for comercial ?

    Hope get yours advise

    yes its easy to maintain the DB using the log retention settings on SEPM. Take a backup using the SEPM and it should help for DR .

     

    Also I suggest to install SEPM 12. instead of SEP 11.

    I also like used SEP 12.x but I have only SEP 12.x Small Bussiness Edition license and this one do not support Application and Deveice control feature. My company need this feature.

    you need to convert Small business to Enterprise, contact Symantec sales or partner.
