Embedding license key in the TRANSFORM using wise package studio

Hi All,

I am packaging IBM SPSS Statistics 18 application, which is licensed application. Our company bought VOLUME license key, which i need to insert in my TRANSFORM. I cheked all the properties and there is a property called "serial number" and i tried to enter my volume license key in that. But when i install the license key is not reflecting/missing. I tried PIDKEY property also but no use.By the way i'm creating a transform using Wise Package Studio 7.0 SP3. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

If i recall it right, this application will not store the serial key in PIDKEY/serial number property.

Try creating a RESPONSE TRANSFORM if you see an option to enter "serial key" during the installation GUI. Then check for the properties to see if any additional property has been added or not.

Let me know if this doesn't work.

Yes, you are right. Response transform has additional propery called ISX_SERIALNUM which has the serial number stored. thanks a bunch. you have made my day!
