Try typing the command bpps

Try typing the command bpps in %install_path%\veritas\netbackup\bin...this should list all Netbackup processes running...

Hmm.

What "bpps -x" command says?

look here

# bpps | grep nbemm
root 16893 1 1 Jul 02 ? 1906:01 /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/nbemm

If you do not see it then it isn't running.

Just check whether nbemmcmd

Just check whether nbemmcmd -getemmserver works fine and if it's so - relax. :)
