  • 1.  Enable File System Auto-protect in Windows Registry

    For Enable File System Auto-protect option :

    Where is his key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\ ? subfolder .. ?

     

    for eg, Deferred scanning is

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\Storages\Filesystem\RealTimeScan

    If it's not there, you could manually create it as per to the article.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\Storages\Filesystem\RealTimeScan
    on the right hand side you will find a key called OnOff 
    1 is file system autoprotect is on
    0 means off

    You need to disable tamper protection before you can make any changes here

    Tamper protection can be disabled only via SEP console or via SEPM

    Can I do it all programmatically using Powershell ?

     

    Where is the key in Windows Registry for option: Automatic enablement: When Auto-Projtect is disabled, enable after:  30 minutes ?
