  • 1.  Encrypt 1 partition on USB stick (MAC)

    Hello,

I would like to encrypt a partion on a 16 GB USB drive.

    I have made two partitions.

I have tried the terminal commands, but they did not work.

Is there a way that I can encrypt 1 partition. Right now the whole stick is encrypted

    thank you

Only WDE (whole disk) encryption is supported on the Mac, not just a partition.

If you really want only 1/2 of it encrypted, you could use an encrypted disk image (PGP's or Apple's - your choice) to fill half the USB drive.

Good point, there's been lots of problems with USB sticks and WDE over the years.
