encrypted backups

hello,
if i want to encrypt a job that been running for a while, do i need to build the job from scratch or i can modify it at the current job?

Hi Sabi,
You shouldbe able to simply switch on encryption. Do NOT lose the encryption key or the data is lost.

Hello Sabi,
You can create an Encryption key and then edit the current job to use the newly created Encryption key. You will not have to create the job from scratch. Just editing will do the trick.
But remember that only newly created backup sets will be encrypted and not the older ones which were backed up before creating the Encryption key.
