Hello all! I just received a PC in my shop, and the repair is being hampered by the most lame application "Encryption Plus". The problem im having is not with access, I know the UID and PASS for the Encryption Plus startup.

Right now the windows installation is corrupt. Possibly a bad boost sector. Getting a BSOD "Unmountable boot volume", AFTER I enter the EPHD details. In order to fix the issue, I need to be able to access the drive via windows recovery console, or a WinPE environment. The problem with this poorly designed software? Unless you boot into an install that has already accessed the drive post decryption, the EPHD access utility fails, It will not accept the fact that an EPHD drive is installed. I only get a meswsage stating that EPHD is not installed. Obviously, it is. As far as I can tell, there is NO possible way to access the drive once it has been encrypted and windows has failed.

I have even tried a WinPE with EPHD ACCESS and was able to load the sata drivers to recognize the drive. However EPHD access still tells me there is no EPHD installed.. DUH! Its a PE env, it wont be installed to the OS running, its on the drive I need to access!!!!Further more, why does it accept my password before telling me that it wont work? Seems backwards..

Anyhow, bottom line is, I have the EPHD credentials, but since windows fails to boot, I cant disable it.  Has anyone gotten around this? It seems silly to think that once an encrypted drives boot process has failed, all of your hard work is lost forever unless you spend tons at a recovery center. Especially since the root problem can be fixed with a simple windows recovery console command.
