might be there is an application and device control policy not to allow the executables from pen drive. Check the Application and device control logs.

    Hello,

    Check this article as well.

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH106211

    Few things to check here.

    1) Is this happening only on 1 machine or on all machines?

    2) Again, if this is happening on a particular machine only, try uninstalling SEP with liveupdate and Install SEP again. Make sure you remove all SEP left over files.

This issue happens due to Application and Device control Policy which may be applied.

    3) It is also very important what version of SEP installed, make sure you are carrying the latest version of SEP installed. The Latest version of SEP is 11.0.6300.

    Hi S.Seetha,

The error message is most likely caused because and Application and Device Control Policy that block sthe use of that USB drive or that encryption tool is applied to that SEP client. I recommend working with the administrator whol configured ADC to identify which policy is responsible, and make the necessary change.

    Thanks and best regards,
