Endpoint Protection

Hello,

I am running SEP v12.1.671.4971 on Windows XP Professional (with all updates).  When shutting down Windows, an error message appears (attached).  The window title is "End Program - ccSvcHst" and gives me the option to either "End Now" or "Cancel."  I found at least two other threads with the same complaint...

Unfortunately, neither was ultimately resolved.  I tried the solutions suggested in those threads anyway and the problem persists.  I have been able to identify that by disabling "Internet E-Mail Auto-Protect," the error message seems to go away.  I cannot leave this setting disabled as I use internet e-mail (POP3 account through Outlook).

I'm hoping that someone has experienced this same issue and has some suggestions.

While shutting Down the machine, whats the status of your Outlook? Is there any outlook related process running?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ccsvchst.exe is used by 'Symantec Security Technologies'.This is an application created by 'Symantec Corporation'. To stop ccsvchst.exe permanently uninstall 'Symantec Security Technologies' from your system. Uninstalling applications can leave registry keys that bloat your registry.

I am not seeing any Outlook-related processes running before I shutdown.  Outlook exits cleanly.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the newest release and no joy.

Any other ideas or suggestions?
