    We are in the process of replacing Symantec 12.1 RU1 as our anti-virus with SCCM 2012.  When we try to push the client out to the desktops Endpoint is blocking the installation.  I have 2 thoughts on this, the first that perhaps I need to disable the tamper protection setting on the groups of computers as I'm installing the client to that group.  But I can't find a setting in the management server to do this, where can I go to disable this on groups of computers at once?  Second, if worse comes to worse I'll just remove the whole program from the computer and then let sccm install the client.  But I need a program that can do this across the network and en-mass.  I was told that this was and wasn't possible the 2 times I called Symantec support, so how would I go about doing this for a large group of computers?

    Answer 1: Goto SEPM-->Clients Tab-->Policy tab-->General Settings-->Tamper protection Tab-->un check Enable tamper protection.

    It will be applied for the group that you have selected..

    Make sure the tamper protection settings is disabled on all the gorup by checking each group individually.

    Answer 2: To uninstall and install SEP across the network

    SEPprep competitive product uninstall tool
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH148513

    Its a competitive uninstaller tool but you can configure to uninstall and install the sep as well using this utility.
