Currently we have reports going out , via email, for comptuer that have virus' deffinitions that are out of date for more than 30 days. However recently the reports that have been going up end up showing blank, the only thign stated was "nothing to report." No changes have been made to Endpoint. Does anyone have any feed back?

Also, is there a way to display the last time a comptuer has checked into endpoint?

Try this link

Hi,

try recreating the same policy as mentioned in the below forum link

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/quotnothing-reportquot-virus-definition-not-update-email-notification

For reports the computer has last checked in

create a log type of computer status.
export it as .csv file
open in excel.
sort it out with last check timings

can remove other info, click on advanced settings and give it a time frame

Please don't forget to mark your thread solved with whatever answer helped you : ) Rafeeq

I get blank firewall reports

I get blank firewall reports daily, actually, multiple times daily. The attached report, when opened in IE, shows nothing! I get dozens of them, and in between them may be tossed in a report that shows something!
Been happening for months.
I just have to look at the attachment size to know if it's empty or has content. 143 is empty, 145 or more means there was an event.
I've reconfigured the triggers several times, too. WEIRD.
(take me back to Intel alerting system)

To check the clients last

To check the clients last check in time you can go into the SEPM > Monitors > Logs > computer status logs > Liew logs it will show you the last check in time for your users.

Also you will need to check if you have clients in your network that are having the virus defs older than 30 days.

Similar

HI,

I have similar issues with blank reports. In may case I have notification for virus outbreak. The reports came blank if I did not have Group filter set correctly. I am not sure if this can be applied to your reports.

Regards

I don't filter anything -

I don't filter anything - everything is *'s
I don't specify. All groups, all computers, all this, all that, it's all  *
No filters at all. We're not large enough to worry about filters.
One major group, several small groups (2 to 10 computers per group and i can tell by looking what group they are in)

Just looked at an event that came through at 7:37 PM last night - wondering how when no one was here!
Yes, the event time was 15:00 hours - that's 3pm, the email came through 4.5 hours later!!!!!!!!
WOW, that's scary!  SEP telling me over 4 hours later of an event?
