There is no official date for the release. You may see the Release of SEP 12.1 RU2 happening anytime this year.

As of now, the SEP 12.1 RU2 is under BETA testing.

Solution is incorrect, sep 12.1.2 is out november 6. Please fix.

Whether anyone has noticed or not yet, I ran Windows 8 upgrade assistant and found out that 12.1 RU1 isn't compatible with Win 8 Pro. Now I have to wait until November to upgrade. Just wondering why Symantec couldn't align the RU2 release to Microsoft launch.

i had called Symantec licensing cengter about the SEP 12.1.2, and was told "no set date yet". also check out the release information on Symantec web site, cannot find the release date.

There are lots of KB about SEP 12.1.2 on the Symantec web site, but no release date.

Nothing on fileconnect as of yet.The current version is 12.1 RU1 MP1 from April 2012.

They've been continually pushing the release back.  Now their site says tomorrow, the 15th:

I can't call since it's the weekend. Will the trailware download of R2 work as an upgrade, or do I need to call and get a temp key?

temp key is to download the software. However you also need to have license file for activating the software license. The trial will work for 30 days if i remember correctly.
