  • 1.  EndPoint Agent issue with large files

We are having an issue that involves PCs with the agent installed. When a user tries to copy a file that is over 30mb, they cannot. There is no error message, the file will not copy. Smaller files/folders can be copied, large files/folders cannot. The end user states that the computer "crashes" but I do not have any detail on what that means yet. We have set the agent "Detection.MAX_FILTER_FILE_SIZE.int" set to 31457280 Bytes (30mb).

It is any file over 30mb on the affected PCs. I will check the logs as well.

    Dear ,

Please try to verify the policy applied for endpoints, whether it has been allowed to copy files more than 30 MB. It usually not happens but it may be due to misconfiguration in agent config settings or policy. You need to verify this both in detail to rectify the issue ,if still facing issue raised the symantec support ticket

I had an issue with a user where there were some filetypes that needed to be set to ignore on the Agent Configuration before a usb transfer would complete.  You may see if that is causing it, assuming you want that filetype not to be scanned.

I would examine your endpoint advanced server configurations and see if you are set to stop scanning at 30MB.  I believe that is the default setting and may be causing your problems.

What would you suggest it be changed to?
