  • 1.  Endpoint Client only installation

    Can we install Endpoint Small Business MR4 with client only, no manager on Small Business Server 2003 Standard SP1? its a small home office network which doesn't require management of the two other pc's. I just need to insure the client can run standalone, get updates and not have intereference from restrictive policies.

    HI,

    Yes. You can go ahead and do the installation.

    It will work fine.

    Also make sure that you must not install NTP on servers as it is not recommended.

    Please update the defitination as soon as you finish with the installation.

    Also make sure it is MR4MP1a which is the latest version.

    If you install SEP with the Network Threat Protection component as unmanaged  client, it will stop your file sharing. You have to choose if install the NTP and set it up properly or not install it at all.
