    Have you tried installing AV only? If that works you can add other components as required.

    Try an unmanaged client with AV only. If it works, just make it managed.

    Hi,

    Its failing while setting the attributes, call support get testsec tool, it will check if there are appropriate permission on folders or give full control to everyone c:\programfiles\Symantec folder to see if thats successful.

    You can change the sylink.xml and connect the SEP client on SEPM.

    Once sep client are connected to SEPM you can upgrade client using autoupgrade feature.

    you can try installing 12.1.5 on top of it. see if that updates the version, once done you can replace the sylink and get it hooked to SEPM

    Overwrite C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\CurrentVersion\Da
    ta\Config\SyLink.xml (Yes/No/All)? y
    C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\SyLink.xml
    Access denied

    First you can stop sep service.

    Start-> Run-> CMD->SMC -stop

    Than you can replace sylink.xml.

    You need to disable tamper protection first and then replace the file
