Endpoint deployment wizard error, multiple "Setup.exe" and "sasetupwrapper.exe"

Created: 10 Jan 2008 • Updated: 22 May 2010 | 3 comments
Hi,
I've launched the deployment wizard to 5 clients,  2 of them failed to install. Both shows similar symtoms.
One of it is running Xp and another Windows server 2003.
After initiated the deployment, the clients' Task manager shows increase in CPU usage and it has multiple occurences of "Setup.exe" and "sasetupwrapper.exe" . Both "Setup.exe" and "sasetupwrapper.exe" continues to multiply.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hello,

There should be an entry in the Application log of the client system as to why the install failed. Can you provide that information please?

Hi John,
I tried deployment again, waited about 30 minutes. Multiple  "setup.exe" and "sasetupwrapper" continued to grow until it exhaust the memory. I rebooted the client after that.

Checked event viewer, under the application log these are the errors i found. As follow I list every error I found in the log during that period of time.
