Endpoint Encryption

I have Winsows 7 with Symantec Endpoint Encryption (Full Disk Edition ver. 8.2.0 MP1).  I'm assuming something got hosed up in Windows; now after initializing Endpoint Encryption, Windows goes into Startup Repair, which fails.

All I want to do is get my data files off of this disk whether I can repair Windows or not, buit I don't know how to access them with the SEE in place.  I tried taking the drive out and connecting it to another PC, but with SEE in place, all that other PC sees is a drive that needs to be formatted (I did not format it).

How can I recover the files on this encrypted disk when Windows won't start?

Thank you for your help with this.

I am having the same type of issue.

Your administrators should have a Recovery CD which you can boot to which should allow you to decrypt the drive. (username and password will need to provided by whomever gives you the recovery disk)

I ran across this technote. You may find it useful.

I have posted a question regarding how to do some of the things mentioned in the hyperlink. Good luck.
