    Hey andy

could you please provide precise details like whether you are installing this on a linux or windows machine and whether your machine is 32 or 64-bit and what version of SEE you are installing. Are you getting this error while installing FD client package and have you already installed the FR package etc?

Please note that SEE does not supports 64 bit platforms and this error which you are getting

The system uses AMD 64 bit processor, win vista home premium 32 bit. I think the problem is because of the processor. DO you have any solution? thanks.

We are having the same issue on our dell xps m1730's.  I suppose it's because of the scsi / sata controller.  Has anyone found a work a round?  Does anyone know how or if there is a way to bypass the pre-boot environment to log back into windows?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Most likely it is because of the scsi try the option to disable sata in the bios of the machine.

I'm having the same issue, as andy07, with our Dell OptiPlex 760 at work.  The computer has 32-bit Windows XP Professional installed.  I tried WCC's advice and I disabled SATA0 in BIOS, the only thing this accomplished was it prevented me from booting up Windows at all.  So I re-enabled SATA0.  I'm currently on hold with Symantec Technical Phone Support.  Does anyone have any idea on how to resolve this issue?  Thanks for your time.

    Regards,
    Michael

Looks like there is a case like yours under investigation. This issue is slated to be resolved in the next build of the product.

SEE 7.0.2 and onwards have fixed most SATA/AHCI issues, what version are you trying to install?
